There’s that line ‘Give me some of your carrier bags’, because me and Richey always used to turn up at each other’s houses with carrier bags, from Spiller’s Records in Cardiff, with June Brides and Bodines [both long-lost ’80s ‘indie’ acts] records in them. [Wistfully] I just always remember him with carrier bags.

When I do my shopping I use a canvas bag from Spillers (there’s no apostrophe guys) and I think of this and it makes me sad.

do you still blog? you're not one of those celebrity blogs that uploads everything they have and then vanishes, are you? because this blog is really cool and i'm a brand new Manics fan and need to follow more people like you :3 by rockandrollhomosexual

There are a limited number of pictures of Nicky and Richey…if I see something “new” I reblog it and I also keep a look-out for fan creations that include the glamour twins. This blog was first established in July 2009 by muteoilydiscolour (I came alone later) and the last post was last month, so it’s hardly vanished! I hope you enjoy it, regardless.

He was an amazing rock star and I will always say that. He was phenomenal and I miss him so much. Not only as a friend but sometimes I think about the amazing star he would have been. He didn’t really see the digital age, when he was around everything was still analogue. It wasn’t a sensationalist age like it is now. He could have probably had the biggest Twitter following in the entire world.

17 years ago Richey Edwards left the Embassy Hotel and was never seen again. I hope where ever he is, he has found some peace and happiness. And I hope he knows that people love him and miss him so much.

The  NME asked ‘-

‘How do you remember him? What did/does he mean to you?

I could go on for ages about what an imapct he has on my life in the last year, but this just quickly sums it up.

He was controversial, beautiful, entertaining, honest and incredible intelligent. There hasn’t been anyone like him since. His passion for words is something you don’t see now, He wasn’t scared to push boundaries. Not many band members can get you into reading all sorts of books and poetry, get you passionate about history and politics whilst still covered in leopard print and eyeliner. He was the voice for the useless generation. The last true rock icon.
